Vauxhall Diecast Car Models

Vauxhall Motors built it's first car, the Model 719, at Luton in 1903. It had a five horsepower engine and held two people. Vauxhall became a division of General Motors in 1925. General Motors first significant acquisitiob outside North America, Other Divisions of General Motors include Buick, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Hummer.

In 1957 the all-new Vauxhall Victor put in a strong performance in the Kenya rally and became Britain's top export car. In 1963 Vauxhall. with the opening of their new factory at Ellesmere Port. launched the Vauxhall Viva.

In 1966 Vauxhall introduced power steering on the luxury version of the Vauxhall PC, the Vauxhall Viscount. In 1970 Vauxhall introduced the Vauxhall Viva which remained in production until 1979. Selling 415,000 units  from 1975-1984 the Vauxhall Chevette, designed by Opel,  was  marketed as the Pontiac Acadian and the Chevrolet Chevette in the US.  In 1985 the Vauxhall Nova, aka Opel Kadett, became Europe's 'Car of the Year'. In 1989 Vauxhall offered a four wheel drive power train with the Vauxhall Cavalier aka Opel Vectra
